As a CSS Member, you are part of a supportive community of like-minded therapists, educators and others who are involved with the work of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy. We facilitate connections between our Members, and provide opportunities for networking and practitioner development, particularly via Study Groups and occasional workshops.

You are warmly invited to attend our AGM including conference and workshop programmes, as well as our online workshops on a range of topics relevant to Upledger CST and your professional practice.

We offer guidance on Continuing Professional Development options, including completion of approved trainings, as well as discussing with you the requirements to become a leader of an approved Study Group, and ways to access Mentoring.

All Members have access to appropriate insurance at a discounted rate through our block scheme with Balens, CAM therapists’ leading insurer.

Post-Nominal letters, MCSS or CSS
Qualified Members are entitled to use the post-nominal letters MCSS (Member of the Cranio Sacral Society), and Network Members are entitled to use the letters CSS.

Eligibility to Join the GRCCT
Qualified Members are also entitled to apply for membership of the General Regulatory Council for Complementary Therapies (GRCCT), which is the largest regulatory body for complementary and alternative therapists in the UK, providing political representation for the CSS and our members.

Support Our Work
Through your membership, you are contributing to the ongoing development work that we engage in, and to growing awareness of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy in the UK. You are also supporting all practitioners who choose to work deeply with this approach.
Categories of Membership
We offer four different levels of annual membership, depending on your level of training and qualification.
Qualified
£120/year
You have completed the core levels (CST1 – ADV1) of the Upledger Institute training, passed the Techniques exam and are fully insured.
Network
£100/year
You have completed at least CST1 with the Upledger Institute and are already a practising and insured therapist of other disciplines.
Student
£50/year
You are currently enrolled in the Training from Scratch programme specifically, with the Upledger Institute UK, in order to become a CST practitioner. You may not have a core therapy background. You have student insurance and are actively engaged in training.
Associate
£50/year
This membership option is available to everyone who has an interest in Upledger CranioSacral Therapy, and who wishes to support the work we do. This may include retired practitioners, those who have completed an Upledger introductory course or others who are in some way connected to the work.
For the purpose of insurance only, the Cranio Sacral Society is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Balens Limited, Bridge House, Portland Road, Malvern Worcs, WR14 2TA who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
